We recommend having travel insurance (whether travelling domestically or internationally) as this ensures our cancellation policy will still apply in the event of travel/flight disruptions and/or sickness.
Child rates will apply to children aged 2 – 14 years inclusive. There is no charge for toddlers under the age of 2.
Minimum length of stays may be enforced during peak times, or at the owners / managers discretion.
We accept cash, EFTPOS, Mastercard, and Visa. There is a 2% surcharge on all payments made with a Mastercard or Visa.
You can also pay your booking off over time with a Payment Plan. When you make an online booking with a minimum value of $200, and your arrival date is more than 14 days away, you will be given the option of a payment plan. This allows you to pay off your booking in regular installments either weekly, fortnightly, or monthly. Just follow the easy steps to make this happen. More information is available here.

Our base rates for all accommodation and sites is for 1-2 people. This means that those travelling on their own and those travelling with two people will pay the same rate.
All rates are GST inclusive (15%) and are in New Zealand dollars ($NZL). We accept Visa, Master Card (2% surcharge applies), China Union Pay, EFTPOS and New Zealand cash as well as payments through internet banking. The name that will appear on your statements is Nelson City TOP 10 Holiday Park.
WHEN MAKING A BOOKING YOU AGREE:
We reserve the right to refuse a reservation at any time from any person if we reasonably believe the person:
All bookings are accepted at the discretion of the management. All persons under the age of 21 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the duration of the booking. Failure to do this could result in the booking being cancelled, even upon arrival and no refund given.
Check in time is any time after 2pm on your scheduled day of arrival.
EARLY CHECK IN
Please contact us directly if you wish to arrive early. We may be able to accommodate an earlier check in, however this really depends on how busy we were the night before, and how quickly we can get through the daily cleaning.
The best thing to do is contact us the day before arrival and speak to one of the team to see if this is a possible option. Unfortunately, there are no guarantees.
LATE CHECK IN
Please advise us if you intend to arrive after 8pm on day of arrival so that we can make arrangements for a ‘Late Arrival’. Instructions for your late arrival will be given at time of notification.
Check out time is 10am for both sites and accommodation on day of departure.
LATE CHECK OUT
This will really depend on how busy we are. The best thing to do is talk to one of the team on your arrival to see if this is an option. Unfortunately, there are no guarantees.
We are located at 230 Vanguard St, Nelson. Our reception is open from 8am to 7pm daily. If there is no-one in reception during these hours, or for an after hours emergency, please push the pager button for assistance.
All keys can be placed in the Key Return Box located outside reception.
When you book a motel unit, you do not need to supply your own bedding. All the beds in all of our accommodation options are made up. Towels are also supplied in our Studio Motels and 1 Bedroom Motels.
The servicing of Motel Units is ‘on request’. If you wish to have your room serviced (changing of towels, bathmat, hand towel, face cloths & tea towel, replenishment of condiments & emptying rubbish bin) please have your ‘service sign’ turned to YES PLEASE before 10am each day.
Bedding and linen is supplied in all cabins. The beds will be made up when you arrive.
However, you will need to supply your own towels in Kitchen Cabins and Standard Cabins. Otherwise, we hire towels for an extra cost of $2 each. This can be arranged on arrival, or beforehand if you let us know.
Powered sites are only suitable for campervans, caravans, and sleeper vans. They are not suitable for tents, as they are gravel based.
Non-powered tent sites are only suitable for small tents only. They are not suitable for sleeper vans or large tents, even if you don’t require power. All tent sites must be booked over the phone.
The TOP 10 Club Card gives you a 10% discount to a maximum of $40 per park per stay.

Unfortunately, we do not offer caravans, campervans or tents for rent. You need to supply your own. You will also need to supply your own power lead if you are booking a powered site.
We do not offer long term accommodation. We offer accommodation and sites to the travelling public on a nightly basis.
A 24 hour call button is located at the front of Reception to contact the duty manager in case of emergency or disturbance.
In case of a medical emergency, call 111 and advise the duty manager of the situation. We are located at 230 Vanguard St, Nelson. A public phone is located next to reception.
If another type of emergency is occurring, call 111 and select FIRE or POLICE. Again, please notify management of the situation at the time.
We are able to book most attractions and activities for you at no additional cost. This includes the Nelson / Tasman area, Golden Bay, and the Abel Tasman National Park. Ask us first as our local knowledge is extensive.
We offer FREE Gas BBQ’s which are located in our outdoor dining area, next to the communal kitchen.
We don’t sell bread or milk at reception. There is a convenience store close by, roughly a 3 minute drive or 10 minute walk from the park.
We do sell ice creams at reception, and there is also a Coke Vending Machine located in the BBQ area.
We do not provide cooking and eating equipment in the shared kitchen. Guests need to provide their own cooking & eating utensils.
We do provide ovens, hot plates, a microwave, a communal fridge & jugs for hot water.
The laundry is open 24 hours. Washing machines take 3 x $2 coins (includes laundry liquid) and dryers are 3 x $2 coin for half an hour drying. Coins are available from Reception during opening hours. A clothes line is located behind the children’s playground.
Please check the board for your name and collect any messages or mail from Reception. We do not deliver messages.
We are open 8am to 7pm in Winter, and 8am to 8pm in Summer.
Please try to complete transactions during these hours.
We provide free parking. We allow one car park per room or site. All vehicles are to be parked on their own designated site at all times.
Please let us know prior to arrival if you have a trailer. We have a very limited amount of space & will do our very best to accommodate your specific needs. Any additional vehicles/trailers may need to be parked outside the Holiday Park on Vanguard Steet.
The playgound is closed at dusk. Young children must be supervised and playground rules adhered to at all times. In fairness to guests located near the playground area, no congregating in the playground area after dusk.
As a reminder, please ensure that you keep all valuables secure. Put away recreation equipment, lock your doors and ensure all vehicles are secure. We have limited storage areas available for valuables, please enquire at reception.
We do not have a Boom Gate. You can enter or leave the park as you wish (we don’t lock the gates). We just ask that you are considerate of your fellow campers.
We also do not lock our communal facilities, so there is 24 hour access to them.
There is no extra charge for our showers, and they have no timers. We just ask that you are considerate of your fellow campers and keep shower times to a minimum.
We can store a small amount of luggage for a short period of time only. Talk to one of the team during your stay.
If you would like to store your car, caravan, or campervan, this may be possible but depends on a number of factors. We are a small holiday park with a very limited amount of space so it really depends on the time of year. Ask the managers who will assess this on a case by case scenario.
There is a communal TV room located next to the communal kitchen.
Our drinking water is on ‘town supply’ and is nice to drink.
We offer free unlimited WiFi to all guests. Please ask at reception for our access code.
Any damage to park property must be reported to recepton as soon as possible. Costs of any damages to property will be charged to the person/s responsible. An invoice can be provided on request.
To ensure that all guests have a pleasant stay we expect common sense and consideration to be shown at all times. This includes reasonable behaviour and dress at all times. All alcohol is to be consumed on your site or in your unit. No noise between 10pm and 7am. No bikes to be ridden in the Holiday Park between 8.30pm and 8am. No illegal substances are to be used on site, failure to adhere to this will result in your expulsion from the premise.
The use of drones within and around the Nelson City TOP 10 Holiday Park is only allowed if you have the express permission from the Managers of Nelson City TOP 10 Holiday Park.
Absolutely no fireworks are to be set off in or around the Holiday Park. Immediate expulsion from the Holiday Park will result if this occurs.
We expect guests to be considerate of their fellow guests and to keep noise to an absolute minimum between 10pm- 7am. This includes noise from vehicles, motor bikes, music and talking.
If there is a disturbance after hours, please use our after hours pager button to alert the managers on duty of the disturbance at the time it is occurring. It is very difficult for us to address the situation in the morning or after the fact.
So that all our guests may be smoke free we enforce a NO SMOKING policy in and around all our accommodation & communal areas. A $200 surcharge will be applied if any evidence of smoking has occurred in a unit.
Pets are only allowed on Powered Sites, during certain times of the year, and with express permission from the managers.
Arrangement for bringing a pet into the Holiday Park must be made prior to arrival. A Pet Policy form will need to be completed & signed on arrival. We strongly recommend reading our full Pet Policy before you make your booking.
Pets are NOT allowed in any accommodation or shared facilities. A $250 fee will be applied if evidence of any animals are found either in our accommodation or shared facilities and if any dog poo is not cleaned up.
We encourage all guests to recycle where possible and to dispose of all other rubbish in the appropriate manner. Please refer to the park map for the location of the rubbish & recycling bins.
Vehicle speed is limited to walk pace only.
ALL visitors are to report to Reception on arrival, pay the relevant visitor fee and are the responsibility of the registered guest. Visitors must be visiting a guest in the Holiday Park and are required to quietly leave the Holiday Park by 9pm.
The fastest route to or from the airport is 7km, or approximately 15 minutes. However, the time to travel this distance can vary greatly depending on the time of day & traffic.
New Zealand banks are 5-10 minutes drive away for most currency exchanges during normal business hours & are located on Trafalgar St, Nelson.
You can swim at the local beach. Tahuna is the closest beach to us (approx 6.5kms). For up to date swimming information, visit the Tahunanui Beach website.
You can walk into town if you like. The town centre is a flat, easy 2.5 km from the Holiday Park. Walking into town takes approximately 20 minutes.
Nelson Hospital is just a 7 minute walk (or a 1 minute drive) from Nelson City TOP 10 Holiday Park.
Unfortunately there is no public transport into town, however we are happy to call you a taxi if required.
We also offer bike hire, which is a great way to get around Nelson. Talk to one of the team about hiring a bike.

New World Nelson City is located 73 Vanguard St. Turn left out of the Holiday Park and travel 1.3km. You will find it on your right hand side.
