Activities In Nelson

With three national parks on our doorstep, the Nelson region offers a diverse range of activities throughout the year. Our benign climate and high sunshine hours mean it’s almost always a great time for hiking, sea kayaking, canyoning, biking, rafting, jet-boating, stand-up paddle boarding, and skydiving. You name it, you’ll probably find it here!

If the outdoors isn’t your style, there is still plenty to keep you entertained. You’ll find a selection of extraordinary art galleries, museums, and restaurants to enjoy, as well as a full year-round events calendar. We look forward to sharing the extraordinary place that we call home with you.
